Cursive Text Generator: How to Copy and Paste Cursive Fonts Online
Want cursive text to copy and paste into Instagram, TikTok, or anywhere else? Here's how cursive Unicode text works and the styles available.
Cursive text — flowing, connected, handwritten-looking letters — is one of the most popular styles for bios, captions, and usernames because it reads as elegant and personal. Like all fancy text, it's made of Unicode characters you can copy and paste anywhere. Here's how it works.
What 'cursive' means in Unicode
Unicode includes a Script alphabet in the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block (and a bold script variant). These are the characters that look like fountain-pen handwriting. A generator maps each letter you type to its script counterpart, so the result stays as plain, copyable text.
How to copy and paste it
- Open the cursive generator and type your text.
- Choose between the lighter script and the bolder script variant.
- Tap to copy, then paste into your bio, caption, or message.

The variants you'll see
- Script: light, elegant, best for soft aesthetic bios.
- Bold script: heavier and more visible, good for names and headers.
- Italic serif: a slanted, formal look that reads as 'handwritten' without full connection.
Two things to watch
First, the script block is missing dedicated glyphs for a couple of letters on some systems, so a capital here or there may fall back to a look-alike — preview before you post. Second, cursive is decorative: keep searchable keywords in normal text, since search won't match the script characters to the plain spelling.
