Small Text Generator: Tiny Superscript Fonts for Instagram Bio and Discord
Small and superscript-style fonts create visual contrast that makes Instagram bios and Discord profiles look unique. Here's what they are and how to use them.
Small text — letters that appear shrunk, raised, or lowered relative to normal type — is a subtle way to make a bio or profile look intentionally designed. It's built from superscript and subscript Unicode characters plus the small-caps set. Here's how each works and where it fits.
The two kinds of 'small' text
Superscript and subscript characters are genuinely tiny letters and numbers that sit above or below the baseline — useful for a delicate accent. Small caps, by contrast, are full-height-but-shorter capital shapes used for lowercase letters, giving a clean typographic look without actually shrinking the text.
How to make small text
- Open the small text or subscript generator and type your text.
- Pick superscript (raised), subscript (lowered), or small caps.
- Copy and paste into your bio or profile.

Where it works best
Instagram and TikTok bios: a tiny line under your name reads as a designed subtitle. Discord: small caps in your display name or 'About Me' looks polished and survives across clients. The contrast between normal and tiny text is the whole effect, so use small text for a secondary line, not your main one.
The catch with superscript
The superscript and subscript blocks don't include every letter of the alphabet at full quality — a few letters are missing or look odd. If a word comes out with a stray normal-size letter, switch to small caps, which covers the whole alphabet cleanly.
